I recently graduated from Berklee College of Music where I majored in music business/ management.  I have been involved in musical activities throughout most of my life and as a result, have been presented with many amazing opportunities.  Coming to New Roots, I hope to be a strong support for students who are challenged academically as well as to help them discover and encourage whatever passion they may have.  I would love to see a stronger bond between New Roots Charter School and the communities of the Central New York region and I will strive to build upon it this year.

I never thought I would become an AmeriCorps VISTA working in a school in my hometown after I finished with college, but I love that I will be giving back in some small part to the community that has shaped who I am! That is really important to me.  New Roots is a great addition to Ithaca and something to be proud of.  It is an especially excellent place for a diverse set of young people to learn hands on training for the "real" world and I'm sure I personally will learn many new things along the way.
