I am currently a second year MSW student at Syracuse University. I hold a Master's Degree in Multicultural Humanistic Education and Human Services from SUNY New Paltz, where I also received a Bachelor's Degree in Women's Studies in 2003. When I came to Ithaca in 2004 I began work as an addictions counselor and life skills educator at Cayuga Addiction Recovery Service's long term residential rehabilitation facility in Trumansburg. After my daughter Sophie was born in 2006 I explored my creative side by designing and crafting a line of sustainable children's clothing in a business I called Kiddilidivy. My passion was making clothing from upcycled materials to sell at local venues. In 2009 my son Ryder was born. My career and life experiences have led me to my current graduate studies, and to a passion for person centered education. I am very excited to be an intern here at New Roots Charter School and I look forward to working with the faculty, staff, students and families!
