My love of mathematics has brought me a lot of places; from Rochester to Ithaca to Budapest to New York City and back to Ithaca. I am looking forward to getting inspired by students and also to share my passion for math with them. On the one hand, mathematics is a way for us to find order and measure patterns in the complex world around us. In this way it is a valuable and powerful tool. On the other hand, there is intrinsic beauty and elegance in math, just as in art and music. I am excited to work with students as we explore these aspects of mathematics.

My other passions include rock climbing, running and hiking. You will also see me out walking my dog Hermes or reading a book and drinking coffee around town.

Chris received his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at Cornell University. He received Master's degree in Math Education from St. John's University. He taught at Bard High School Early College Queens, and at the Lehman Alternative Community School. He was a member of the New York City Teaching Fellows. He is certified to teach high school mathematics in New York State.
