I am very excited to be a part of Americorps and the New Roots Staff this year!

I graduated from Cornell University in May 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences [concentration in Nutrition], and minors in both Global Health and Law & Society.  In the future I hope to work in the fields of medicine and public health, and have a career that addresses the underlying determinants of health. In addition, I am very passionate about dance and music, and currently dance for one of Cornell's Hip Hop choreography groups.

As a recent college grad, I am eager to apply my education and experiences from the last four years to the real world. My strong value for service stimulated my interest in joining Americorps this year, and I hope to make a positive impact on the New Roots community.

I look forward to working with and learning from the staff, students and families in the New Roots community. I am grateful to be a part of an organization that values environmental, social and economic sustainability, diversity and truly cares about their students.
