Passion for sustainability and social justice and a head for details and numbers are parts of myself that I bring to our essential endeavor at New Roots. As the Business and Operations Manager, I am honored to have the opportunity to use my talents to build a laboratory school for education in the 21st century.
I was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and spent 14 years in Santa Cruz, California before making my way to Ithaca – a town I chose for its natural beauty, affordability and vibrant communities. While in California, I worked in public
accounting for 8 years and earned my CPA license. After moving to Ithaca, I completed a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Wells College in 2005. I earned a Master's Degree in Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work in 2007.
When not at work, I enjoy gardening, riding my recumbent bicycle (or cross country skiing in the winter), gardening and hanging out with my family and cats. You can find me every Saturday morning shopping for local food at the Ithaca Farmer's Market.
