Water Quality Testing at the Historic Clinton House

on Sat, 03/05/2016 - 17:00

Dear New Roots Families,

I know that recent revelations about water quality in our local schools must raise the same question in your mind as it does mine -- what about the water in the Clinton House?

Investigating this question, I learned that there has been no testing of the Clinton House water since New Roots opened its doors in 2009.  Because the Clinton House draws on a municipal water supply, there is no requirement that our water be tested.

Given the potential impact on student health, I don’t think that the regulations are enough in this case.

New Roots Now Enrolling for the 2016-2017 School Year

New Roots Charter School is celebrating the start of enrollment season for the 2016-2017 school year with an Open House this Saturday, March 5 from 1 - 3 p.m.

Seats are limited to 40 per grade level in our tuition-free regional public high school, with many already reserved for returning students in grades 10 through 12.  Families are encouraged to enroll now to secure their seat for September 2016.

“Now that New Roots has a well established track record, we are seeing a trend towards students enrolling earlier in the year, especially in grades 9 and 10,” said Rebecca Cutter, Community
